The exchange 2010 SP1 is expected to be released in June 2010. On behalf of this I would like to brief few improvements that the SP1 going to bring for current configuration. SP1 improves functionality on many areas, few are
EMC and ECP improvements: We all know that the PowerShell is always powerful, and yes of course MS recommend us to use it for better administration. But still few of us wanted to do the administration from the EMC or ECP, for a better view. SP1 brings few more exchange tasks to Exchange EMC and ECP.
Personal Archive Microsoft has introduced the Personal Archiving solution with the release of Exchange 2010. One of the much talked about the feature in exchange 2010 feature. As we all know that when we create a personal archive mailbox is also resides in the same database as the mailbox is in. Now with the exchange 2010 SP1 you have the option of pointing the archive mailbox to a different database. There are many more improvements to this. OWA (Outlook Web App) SP1 improves the operation during the long running task such as attaching large files. This kind of long running task will no more interrupt the rest of OWA operations.
